We are proud to announce that Pierre-Jean Fasan directed the official documentary for the Tinyuka Ose project, an initiative led by RWAMREC (Rwanda Men's Resource Centre) in partnership with the French Embassy in Rwanda.
Tinyuka Ose — which means “Dare to Rise Again” — is an innovative psychosocial and economic support program for young Rwandan mothers and fathers, aimed at promoting shared responsibility, positive parenting, and a more inclusive vision of gender roles.
The documentary follows the moving journeys of young parents, the community workshops held across the country, and the tangible impact of the program on their lives. With a narrative that is sensitive, human-centered, and rooted in local realities, Pierre-Jean Fasan brings to life stories of resilience, transformation, and hope.
This production is part of Bigwi’s broader mission: using cinema as a tool for social change, to highlight grassroots initiatives and amplify voices that are too often unheard.
A heartfelt thank you to RWAMREC and the French Embassy in Kigali for their trust, and to all those who shared their stories with honesty and courage.
